Vena jest jednym z najważniejszych punktów na bogatej, festiwalowej mapie Łodzi. 2 października jej kolejną edycję zainaugurował koncert Andrzeja Smoilka, który zaprezentował swój nowy projekt. Tegoroczny Festiwal był pierwszą okazją dla fanów legendarnej manchesterskiej grupy Happy Mondays do zobaczenia ich na żywo w naszym kraju. Na imprezie pojawiły się również takie gwiazdy jak: Klaxons, Primal Scream oraz The (International) Noise Conspiracy.
Do walki o główną nagrodę Veny, czyli 100 tys. zł stanęło 12 zespołów, na które drogą internetową głosowało międzynarodowe jury. Laureatem konkursu został zespół Plastic.

Vena is one of the most important points on the rich festival map of Łódź/ On 2nd October its next edition was opened by the gig of Andrzej Smolik, who presented his new project. Thi year’s Festival was the first occassion for the fans of the legendary Manchester band Happy Mondays to see them live in Poland. 12 bands compteted for the money prize of 100′000 PLN awarded by the jury over internet. This yea’s laureate was the band Plastic.
